District 12 Ontario Horticultural Association Centennial Bursary - Deadline June 15
This award is given to a student continuing their studies in Horticulture, Floriculture or Environmental Studies at a recognized college or university.

Jack Briggs Memorial Award - Township of Evanturel - Deadline May 31st

This award is presented to a student attending a local secondary school who has contributed - socially, culturally or civically - with proven leadership skills. Consideration will be given to those attending a post-secondary agriculture program.

James S. Miller Memorial Scholarship - Deadline May 31st
This $1000 award is for students from Northern Ontario who are headed to post secondary studies in natural resources or a related field.

Trillium Automobile Dealers Association Automotive Award - Deadline June 29th
This award ($500) is for students going to post-secondary education in the field of: Automotive service, Motive Power or Auto Technology  at a recognized college.

Co-operative regional scholarships - Deadline April 30th
This scholarship is based on a submission about one of the 7 principals of cooperatives.  Submission can be an essay, monologue, collage, painting, sculpture, theatre piece, video or art piece.

Monstanto Opportunity Scholarship- Deadline May 31st
This scholarship, valued at $1500, is open to students continuing their post-secondary studies in the areas of agriculture, food science or culinary programs.

C.S.T. Consultants Inc. -Guruparan and Winsor Scholarships - Deadline May 31st 
These two scholarships, each valued at $6000, are for students who are academically gifted, well-rounded, and will be pursuing their first undergraduate degree/diploma at a recognized post-secondary institution.

OPP Youth Foundation  - Deadline April 18th
The OPPYF will award 2 bursaries for $1000 each.  These will be based on:

  • Financial need
  • Academic Ability and Need
  • Participation in the OPP Summer Camp Program (optional)


Collins Barrow - Deadline April 30th

The Collins Barrow Secondary School Bursary is offering $500 to a Grade 12 student who has:

  • a B+ or higher average in grade 11
  • enrolled in a University Commerce/Accounting program 
  • demonstrated leadership

The Temiskaming Chapter of the Professional Engineers Ontario is offering a $1000 scholarship to a student from the district who will be attending University to study Engineering.

TransCanada Community Scholarships- Deadline April 15th
TransCanada will be offering a total of 300 scholarships of varying amounts.  There are three possible scholarships:
  • TransCanada Community Leaders Scholarship (100x$1000) awarded to students who demonstrate a strong commitment to their communities through volunteerism, leadership and other activities.
  • TransCanada Indigenous Legacy Scholarship (50 x $5000) awarded to Indigenous students studying any academic discipline. This scholarship is renewable... you may continue to receive it every year as long as you remain enrolled.
  • TransCanada Trades Scholarship (150X$1000) awarded to students studying trades relevant to the energy industry.

THE LEONARD FOUNDATION - Deadline March 15th
The Leonard Foundation provides financial assistance to students who face financial challenges which might impede their ability to attend university.  The bursaries are specifically targeted to students whose family income does not exceed $60,000.  You could be the recipient of $1000-$1500 if this is your situation and if you access and fill out the application that can be found at the following website:
